How we make money
No paywall, no ads, no selling your data. So how does this run? Affiliate and referral commission — explained here in full, because a site that tells you when to wait has to be completely honest about how it earns.
The short version
We earn a commission on some links when a purchase starts from IceColdDeals. It never changes the price you pay, and it never changes our verdicts — those come from price history alone. When we earn nothing, we say so. When a rival is cheaper, we tell you to go there.
How we earn
Affiliate commission
If you click a Grab link and then buy, the retailer pays us a small commission. The retailer pays it — it is not added to your price, which is identical whether you came via us or not.
Referral fees
When you switch broadband or SIM, or sign up to a cashback site through us, we earn a one-off referral fee. We earn nothing if you stay put — so we’ll happily tell you to stay if that’s the better call.
What it never changes
Your price
Commission is paid by the retailer out of their margin. You pay exactly the same as anyone arriving without us.
Our rankings
Deals are ordered by DNA score — built from real price history, stock and velocity. We do not rank by commission rate, and a higher-paying deal never jumps the queue.
Whether we’ll list a zero-commission deal
If something is genuinely the best price and pays us nothing, we still list it — and label it plainly, with no ask attached.
Where you’ll see it flagged
On every deal card
A one-line earnings note sits on each deal — either “we earn a small commission, same price to you” or “we earn nothing on this.”
On social, every time
Every post, email or Telegram message containing an affiliate link is labelled #ad, in line with UK ASA and CMA rules.
